The Challenge

Beauttah paid 3rd party apps up to 18% per booking — on every single reservation. With 6 premium units in Mombasa's tourist corridor, that meant hundreds of thousands of shillings flowing to a platform they didn't own. Every repeat guest who re-booked through Airbnb was a new commission event.

Our Solution

We built a fully custom direct-booking website and reservation management system, migrated their repeat guests over with a targeted email and WhatsApp campaign, and set up Google Ads targeting high-intent 'Mombasa apartments' queries, converting traffic to their own booking engine.

What We Built

Our Approach

01

Direct Booking Website

Custom web application with a real-time availability calendar, Mpesa-integrated payment, and an admin dashboard. Guests can book in under 3 minutes without a platform account.

02

Guest Migration Campaign

Personalised WhatsApp messages to past guests offering a loyalty discount on direct bookings. 68 guests converted to direct booking relationships in the first month.

03

High-Intent Google Ads

Search campaigns targeting tourists planning Mombasa stays 30–90 days out. Ads linked directly to the booking engine, cutting the funnel from 7 steps to 2.

We are still small-scale and growing therefore 3rd party solutions did not fit but AcidCat built us a custom solution that works for us. Now we own our customer relationships and keep every shilling.
